On August 1, Phu Thuy Ward People's Committee (Lam Dong province) organized a campaign to restore urban order and environmental sanitation in the Da Ong Dia beach area. The campaign aims to rectify the situation of street vendors, contributing to building a civilized and safe tourism environment.
Over the past time, in the Da Ong Dia beach area, there has been a situation where some households arbitrarily put umbrellas, placed tables and chairs and displayed seafood, food, and drinks for tourists. However, this activity has led to many inadequacies such as unclear prices, seafood quality and food safety and hygiene issues, affecting the tourist's experience.
Previously, Phu Thuy Ward People's Committee had installed signs prohibiting street vendor trading in the beach area. However, when functional forces left, the spontaneous trading situation continued to recur.
In this campaign, the working group including police, militia and specialized departments directly worked with business households and took strong measures to stop illegal sales and restore order in the beach area.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Thong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Phu Thuy ward, the locality understands that rectification will affect the livelihood activities of some households. However, all business activities must be in the right location, in accordance with regulations to ensure aesthetics, safety and build a friendly tourism environment. Joining hands to build a healthy, civilized and meaningful tourism environment will bring long-term benefits to both the locality and the people.
Also on the morning of August 1st, Phu Thuy Ward People's Committee simultaneously launched a general environmental sanitation campaign in the area, embellishing the landscape to welcome tourists to Sports Festival - a large-scale sports event taking place in the eastern region of Lam Dong province. This is also an activity to enhance the image of the destination, creating a beautiful impression on tourists when visiting and relaxing.
