On the evening of May 29, a heavy rain lasting more than an hour caused many roads in Ho Chi Minh City - especially in Thu Duc City, Tan Phu, Tan Binh and Go Vap districts - to be deeply flooded. This situation caused a series of vehicles to stall, seriously affecting traffic and people's lives.

At around 6pm, heavy rain suddenly fell on many districts and Thu Duc City. The main roads such as Le Van Viet (Thu Duc City), Tay Thanh, CN13 (Tan Phu District), Phan Huy Ich (Tan Binh District and Go Vap) quickly sank into the sea. Many sections of the road were flooded with more than half a wheel, and high rainwater overflowed onto the sidewalk, making it difficult to move.
This severe flooding has significantly affected the daily travel, living and business activities of Ho Chi Minh City residents.

"At around 5pm, I was on my way home after work when the rain started to fall. At first, it was just a little rain, but only about 15-20 minutes later, there was a lot of rain, the road was flooded very quickly," Mr. An recounted.
Mr. An said that after only a short distance, his motorbike suddenly stalled. "At that time, I was fine, I had to get out of the car and walk. The rain is still pouring, people are as wet as mice, but the water is black and foul-smelling. "When I was driving, I was worried about falling and flooding, which ruined the motorbike even more," he sighed.

In particular, in "hot spots" flooded with water such as Phan Huy Ich Street (Tan Binh District, Go Vap) and Tay Thanh Street (Tan Phu District), many motorbikes stalled in the water. People had to helplessly push their vehicles in heavy rain, looking for ways to get home.
By 8:30 p.m., although there was still light rain in some areas, the water on the roads had begun to recede, helping traffic gradually recover.
