On March 27, residents of Suoi Nuoc neighborhood, Mui Ne ward (Lam Dong province) said that they had promptly rescued a sea turtle caught in a net and drifted ashore.
Accordingly, while walking along the coast, some people discovered a large turtle lying motionless.

Approaching to check, people saw that the turtle was still alive, the lower body was tightly wrapped by a piece of net, covering the limbs, making it impossible for the turtle to move.
Immediately after that, people carefully used knives to cut each mesh strand to avoid causing damage to the turtle.

After completely removing the entangled net, the turtle individual was inspected preliminarily, no injuries were found and it was able to move normally.
Realizing that the turtle's health was stable, people brought this individual back to the sea. The moment of releasing the turtle was witnessed and recorded by many people.
According to a sea turtle conservation expert, the above-mentioned turtle individual has identification characteristics similar to the pineapple turtle - one of the rare sea turtles, belonging to the endangered group that needs to be protected.

Over the past time, people's awareness of protecting sea turtles has been clearly raised. Many cases of turtles getting caught in nets, drifting ashore or encountering danger have been proactively supported and rescued by people.
Joining hands to protect rare marine species contributes to maintaining marine ecosystems and long-term natural resources.
