On the morning of March 27, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to implement the personnel work process to elect the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030. As a result, Mr. Tran Phong - Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee with absolute confidence votes.
At the conference, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee implemented the process of electing Mr. Tran Phong as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030.
As a result, with 100% of the confidence votes of the delegates present, Mr. Tran Phong was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030.
At the conference, Mr. Ho Xuan Truong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that the organization of the conference is to properly implement the cadre work process according to the direction of the Central Government, ensuring democracy, objectivity, publicity, and transparency. Mr. Ho Xuan Truong assigned the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to advise on completing procedures to report to the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee to approve the election results in accordance with procedures and regulations.
Mr. Tran Phong was born on December 16, 1974 in Quang Phuong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province (old). Mr. Tran Phong started working from 1997 at the Quang Binh Mountainous Trade Company Branch.
Political theory level: Advanced; Professional qualifications: University of General Business Administration; Academic degree: Master of Economics.
In July 2020, he was elected Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee. From December 2020 to December 2024, he was a member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of Dong Hoi City Party Committee.
From December 2024 - June 2025, he was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee.
From July 1, 2025, Mr. Tran Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee (new), term 2020 - 2025, was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee (new), term 2021-2026.
From November 2025 to now, Mr. Tran Phong has been transferred and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030, and at the same time introduced to elect the Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.
