At more than 8:00 p.m., on Tran Xuan Soan (District 7) and Ton That Thuyet (District 4), the water level still rose, flooding the road due to high tides, affecting people's daily life and travel.

According to Lao Dong, the surface of Tran Xuan Soan Street was flooded about 20-40cm deep, making it difficult for people to travel.
Shops along the road hastily moved their goods up high to avoid damage. In the low-lying alleys, water overflowed into their homes, forcing people to use corrugated iron and sandbags to block the water.

In particular, in the area near the foot of Tan Thuan Bridge, every time a large truck passes, the water floods into strong waves, hitting the porch, causing many households to stretch tarpaulins and block boards to reduce the impact.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (residing in District 7) said that the high tide this time is unusually high. "In previous years, the water was only heavily flooded in August, September, and October, but this year, even though it is only April, the high tide has risen very high," said Mr. Hung.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the high tide in the downstream area of the Saigon - Dong Nai River is in the process of rising rapidly and peaking from March 31 to April 1, with the water level at Phu An and Nha Be stations ranging from 1.53 - 1.58 m (equivalent to alert level 2 - alert level 3).
The highest tide will be in the two time frames of 4-6 hours and 18-20 hours. After this time, the water level will decrease rapidly.
