On June 26, Thanh Bong Commune Police informed that on the afternoon of June 25, the unit received a report about an accident caused by lightning strike.
Accordingly, while exploiting acacia trees in area group 3, Go village, Thanh Bong commune, Mr. Ho Van K. (born 2000) and Mr. Ho Van Kh. (born 1992), both residing in group 1, Go village, were struck by lightning, collapsed and fell into a coma.
Although it was quite far from the commune police headquarters to the scene where the victims encountered the accident, while heavy rain made the only road leading to Go village, which was already degraded, even more seriously damaged, immediately after receiving the report, Thanh Bong Commune Police urgently sent an experienced task force to support.
When approaching the scene, the Commune Police force quickly coordinated with local people and doctors of the Commune Health Station to deploy on-site first aid measures, and at the same time took the two victims to the nearest medical facility for emergency treatment.
Thanks to timely rescue, both victims initially passed the critical condition.
