Accordingly, at about 2 pm on January 23, 2026, Hong Chau Ward Police received a report from the people about a child about 12 years old, unable to speak, showing abnormal signs, wandering in the area of Duc Thang Garment Company, Hong Chau Ward. Immediately after receiving the information, the Ward Police sent officers to verify the source of information and take the child to the headquarters for care and support.
At the time the Ward Police force approached, the child showed signs of fatigue and coldness due to wandering in the cold rainy weather for many hours. Officers of the Regional Police Team coordinated with people to take the child to the Ward Police headquarters. Through exchanges, the child could not speak, could not write and could not remember the family address, so the Ward Police coordinated with neighboring localities to verify the child's residence information.
At about 3:30 pm on the same day, Hong Chau Ward Police contacted the child's family in Team 6, Le Bai village, Tan Hung commune, Hung Yen province. When they met their son again at the Ward Police headquarters, family members could not hide their emotions.
The child's mother said that the child was born mute and is being treated for autism. Previously, at about 7 am on January 23, 2026, the child left home and wandered around. The family organized searches in many places but without results.
After working with the family, the Hong Chau Ward Police Area Team handed over the baby to the biological mother and grandmother. Appreciating the sense of responsibility and compassion of the officers and soldiers, the baby's mother, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mien, sent her thanks to the collective of Hong Chau Ward Police.
This meaningful action shows the spirit of "Serving the People", contributing to building the image of an exemplary Hung Yen Police soldier, serving the people.
