According to initial information, at about 4 pm on the same day, black smoke with a burning smell suddenly rose from the 2nd floor of a liquor store located on Hai Ba Trung street (Xuan Hoa ward).
Discovering the incident, store staff and people around quickly used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.

Because the store contained many flammable materials and packages were packed tightly, the fire quickly spread. In just a few minutes, thick smoke covered the entire store space, overflowing to the road surface, causing traffic participants to avoid, traffic through the area became chaotic.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police of Ho Chi Minh City Police dispatched specialized vehicles and many officers and soldiers to the scene. Functional forces deployed water sprayers, controlled the fire, and prevented the risk of fire spreading to adjacent high-rise buildings.
The fire occurred during rush hour on the main road of the central area, causing serious traffic congestion through Hai Ba Trung street. Many vehicles had to move slowly or choose other routes to avoid the incident area.

By nearly 6 pm, the fire was controlled. The incident did not cause any casualties.
Currently, the cause of the fire is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
