According to the Ministry of Public Security's Electronic Information Portal, at about 6:30 PM on February 3, 2026, during the performance of patrol and control tasks to ensure traffic order and safety, the Task Force of Area 1 Team - Road Traffic Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department (Quang Ngai Provincial Police) discovered and helped 2 stray children in a state of hunger and cold.
At the above time, while patrolling on the assigned route, the Task Force including Major Ho Sy Thang (Team Leader), Major Pham Van Binh and Major Hua Dai Duong discovered 2 children (about 12-13 years old) wandering on the sidewalk with signs of fatigue and chills.
Recognizing unusual signs, the comrades in the Team quickly approached to inquire and learned that the children were lost, unable to determine their direction to their house in hamlet 9 (Dak Ha commune, Quang Ngai province), more than 30km from where they were found.
After grasping the information, the Task Force coordinated with Dak Ha Commune Police to contact relatives. Upon receiving the news after a long period of searching in anxiety, the children's families were extremely moved to see their children safe. At the handover ceremony, family representatives expressed their deep gratitude for the dedicated and responsible care of the traffic police officers.
Previously, on the evening of January 28, 2026, Tra Tan Commune Police (Lam Dong province) received a report from people about a child of about 3 years old wandering alone in the Tra Tan market area, in hamlet 1A, Tra Tan commune.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Commander of the Commune Police quickly sent a working group including on-duty officers and grassroots security forces to the scene to verify. When approaching, functional forces discovered that the child showed signs of fear and fatigue due to being lost for many hours outdoors, without relatives accompanying him.
Realizing that the child was too young, not speaking clearly and not remembering the home address, the commune police force took the child to the headquarters for care, and at the same time coordinated with the local security force to urgently verify personal information. After the verification process, the child was identified as B.T. K (born 2023) permanently residing in group 8, hamlet 1B, Tra Tan commune.
At about 8:30 pm on the same day, the commune police contacted Ms. Hang, the baby's mother. Ms. Hang said that at about 6:00 pm on the same day, in a moment of carelessness, baby K voluntarily left the house. The family discovered the incident and organized a search but without results.
After verifying and clarifying the related information, Tra Tan Commune Police proceeded to hand over the baby to his biological mother in the emotion and gratitude of the family. Ms. Hang sent sincere thanks to the collective of officers and soldiers of Tra Tan Commune Police for their high sense of responsibility, timely and meaningful actions in helping the family find their young child.
