On February 7, representatives of the Bau Bang Commune Trade Union (HCMC) said that there was a working program to protect the rights of seasonal workers at Ampacs International Co., Ltd. (in Bau Bang Industrial Park, Bau Bang commune, HCMC) in paying the 13th month bonus. As a result, Ampacs International Co., Ltd. agreed to pay the 13th month bonus to seasonal workers.
Ms. Tran Thi My Nhien - assistant to the Chairman of the Company and Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of Ampacs International Co., Ltd. added that the CĐCS has proposed and was agreed by the company's leaders to pay the 13th month bonus to seasonal workers, even though they do not agree to sign official labor contracts.
In case the employee does not agree to sign an official labor contract (although the company had previously notified the supplier to consider arranging and transferring the employee to another project), however, based on the assessment of the working process, the level of commitment and contribution of the employee in the past time, the company still considers and implements the payment of the 13th month bonus for these cases" - Ms. Tran Thi My Nhien said.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper had reported the reflection of seasonal workers at the above company. Seasonal workers said that because they did not agree to sign official labor contracts, they were forced by the company to quit their jobs to not pay the 13th month bonus.

Representatives of Ampacs International Co., Ltd. explained that regarding the 13th month bonus, all official contract workers are rewarded, only a part of seasonal workers are not rewarded. When not officially entering, seasonal workers will be transferred by the company to work in other projects. At this time, if that worker does not work at the company until February 13, they will not receive the 13th month salary according to the company's regulations. However, the company has reconsidered and agreed to pay the 13th month salary to seasonal workers.
Currently, the company's grassroots trade union is propagating to help workers understand their rights when entering official labor, and workers will enjoy more welfare benefits when working seasonally.

Continue to build a better working environment
The Trade Union of Ampacs International Co., Ltd. added that it is continuing to implement measures to build a better working environment and harmonious labor relations at the enterprise.
Specifically, there will be measures to ensure hygiene and food safety in the sanitation area and dining hall. Regarding dining halls, the company and the trade union organize 4 dining halls for workers to choose from. If any dining hall is complained about not being guaranteed, the company will replace it with another dining hall. The grassroots trade union also participates in monitoring the quantity and quality of lunch meals.
Regarding communication with employees, the company also requires officials to restrain emotions and communicate properly with employees.
