In order to share difficulties with patients in difficult circumstances being treated at medical facilities, the Youth Committee of An Giang Provincial Police in coordination with the Gieo Mam Yeu Thuong (Sewing Seeds of Love) charity group continued to organize the "Gratitude Morning" program, donating 600 free meals to poor patients and their families at Kien Giang Traditional Medicine Hospital.
From early morning (April 25), many youth union members and volunteers were present to prepare nutritious meals, food safety and hygiene before handing them directly to patients in the treatment departments. The atmosphere of the meal distribution session was warm, orderly and full of sharing, bringing small joy to many patients who are being treated for a long time.
The "Buổi sáng nghĩa tình" program is regularly maintained on Saturday mornings every week at hospitals in Rach Gia ward. According to the Organizing Committee, since its implementation from November 15 to now, the program has awarded more than 20,000 free meals, contributing to practical support for many poor patients and workers in difficult circumstances when coming for examination and treatment.
Lieutenant Colonel Truong Van Quoc - Head of the Youth Committee of An Giang Provincial Police said: "The program is implemented with the desire to contribute to sharing difficulties with patients, especially those with long-term treatment and limited economic conditions. In the coming time, the Youth Committee of the Provincial Police will continue to coordinate with charitable units to maintain this activity, and at the same time mobilize more socialized resources to spread the program more widely.
Representative of the charity group, Ms. Nguyen Tran My Thuyen shared: "Each meal, although not of great value, is the heart of many philanthropists and volunteers sent to patients. We hope that every Saturday morning can bring spiritual encouragement, help patients feel cared for, and add faith in the treatment process. The charity group always tries to change the menu to suit, ensure the quality of meals so that patients can easily use them, especially for the elderly or those who are being treated and need a light diet.
With practical meaning, the program "Buổi sáng nghĩa tình" is becoming a social security activity rich in humanity, contributing to building a beautiful image of the Police force and charity groups in the hearts of the people.
