On July 11, according to Hung Yen Provincial Police, Tay Thai Ninh Commune Police promptly verified the identity and supported a man with signs of mental illness to return safely to his family.
Previously, on the morning of July 9, during the process of managing the area, Tay Thai Ninh Commune Police discovered a man about 45 years old wandering in the area, showing unusual signs. When asked, this person did not remember his name, did not remember clearly his relatives, did not bring personal papers and only remembered his hometown in Tien Hai district, former Thai Binh province.
The commune police took the man to the headquarters for care, and at the same time conducted personal verification. Through reviewing population data and coordinating with Tien Hai Commune Police, functional forces identified this person as Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan (born 1985, residing in Tien Hai commune, Hung Yen province).
According to verification, Mr. Nhan showed signs of mental illness and got lost from about 8 am on July 8. The family organized searches in many places but without results.
After more than 24 hours of losing contact, Tay Thai Ninh Commune Police contacted and notified the family to pick up Mr. Nhan to return. Immediately after receiving the news, Ms. Le Thi Ngat - Mr. Nhan's mother - came to the commune police headquarters to pick up her son.
Impressed by the sense of responsibility of the police force, Ms. Ngat sent a letter of thanks to the collective of officers and soldiers of Tay Thai Ninh Commune Police for wholeheartedly supporting and helping the family reunite soon.
