At 0:07 on January 29, 2025 (the first day of Tet), a fire broke out at a house at address 9, lane 75 An Xa, Phuc Xa ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.
Upon receiving the news, the City Police Command Information Center urgently dispatched 2 fire trucks and 12 officers and soldiers from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team - Ba Dinh District Police to the scene to organize fire fighting, rescue and relief.
The house on fire has an area of about 30 square meters with a scale of 4 floors and 1 attic; the fire occurred on the 2nd floor of the house.
Upon arriving at the scene, through reconnaissance, it was determined that the fire had the potential to spread, with many flammable objects, emitting a lot of toxic smoke and gas.
There were still people trapped in the fire area. The fire commander urgently directed officers and soldiers to focus on rescuing people, and quickly coordinated with the ward police force and people to organize fire fighting and prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding areas.
During the fire fighting and rescue process, the Fire Police and Rescue Force promptly brought 3 family members trapped in the house to a safe place, and coordinated with medical forces to take the victims to the emergency room at a medical facility.
According to initial information, all three victims are currently stable in both health and spirit.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
