Ngoc Hai shared that she was born into a family that did not have enough love from her father and mother, so she sympathized with children in difficult, needy and orphaned circumstances. That's why, Ngoc Hai and fellow students with the same heart established "Project for you" on June 1, 2023.
The project provides material, spiritual and educational support to children, typically giving gifts, cakes, notebooks, books, clothes, and bicycles to disadvantaged students, with the companionship of local leaders. The regular army stands behind.
At first, because he was only a student, Ngoc Hai encountered many obstacles in the process of mobilizing support from sponsors. Besides, the organization and operation are also difficult when there are only 5 members doing it. However, to date, the project has received the response of more than 1,000 members, most of whom are young people and students across the country.
"Project for children" is implemented according to the "station" model, with a total of 22 "stations" with their own models. Each month, the project will carry out 2 - 4 activities in border areas, remote areas of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta. In addition, the project also implements a milk distribution program for highland children in Lam Dong province.
“Every time the organization holds an activity, members often travel by motorbike hundreds of kilometers to the survey location and connect with localities to carry out the program. Each activity will have 20 - 30 members participating," Ngoc Hai said.
Nguyen Thi Thao Vy - Vice President of the project - said that this is an environment that helps me and my fellow students to study, volunteer and develop many skills. “During the implementation of the program, seeing the children happy when receiving gifts and enjoying delicious meals is the motivation for me and my friends to persevere in implementing this project.” .
Ngoc Hai informed that after more than a year of implementation, up to now "Project for Children" has supported about 2,000 young children in difficult circumstances, orphans and with disabilities. In the coming time, the project will aim to educate, support bookcases and share life skills for students in remote areas .
