Hung Yen - An Italian tourist who dropped his phone was returned thanks to the promptness of Son Nam Ward Police and the honesty of the people.

According to Son Nam Ward Police (Hung Yen Province), at around 10:00 a.m. on August 27, Ms. Giampaola Guido (born in 1957, Italian nationality) was on a trip to explore a traditional craft village in Cao residential group, Son Nam Ward, Hung Yen Province when she discovered dropping an iPhone 13 Pro worth about 8 million VND. Although the material value is not large, this device retains many important images, videos and documents throughout the journey to explore Vietnam.

After the search was unsuccessful, Ms. Guido went to the Son Nam Ward Police Station to report the incident and ask for help. As soon as the report was received, the police force promptly assigned officers and soldiers to many working groups, applying professional measures to determine the location of the phone.

In a short time, the Working Group determined that the device was being kept at the house of Mr. M.V.T, residing in Cao residential group - where Ms. Guido dropped her phone.

contacting Mr. M.V.T, this person said that he had picked up the phone the same morning and was waiting for the owner to return it. After verification, the police force coordinated with Mr. M.V.T to hand over the equipment to Ms. Guido. The quick recovery of the phone has moved the Italian tourists.

She shared that when she dropped her phone, she was worried that she might lose all the valuable data recording her travel journey, but the enthusiastic help, responsibility of the police force and the honest heart of the local people made her feel appreciative of the land and people of Vietnam.

Immediately afterwards, Ms. Guido wrote a handwritten letter expressing her deep gratitude to the officers and soldiers of Son Nam Ward Police and Mr. M.V.T. In the letter, she emphasized her gratitude for the sense of responsibility, dedication and noble gestures that she witnessed.

With the sense of responsibility of the Son Nam Ward Police force and the noble gesture of Mr. M.V.T, these small but meaningful actions are the bricks to build trust and sympathy of international tourists.
