Bringing Tet to disadvantaged children in Dak Lak

Dak Lak - Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee visited and gave meaningful Tet gifts to disadvantaged children, the elderly and people with disabilities.

On January 27, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province informed that the unit had just coordinated with relevant parties to organize the program "Spring of Love - Happy Tet".

The program presented gifts to children in especially difficult circumstances, the elderly, and the disabled at the Provincial Social Protection Center.

Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Member of the Party Central Committee - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Huynh Thi Chien Hoa - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Thien Van - Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Le Minh Thanh - Director of Vietcombank North Dak Lak branch said: "We consider accompanying and coordinating with authorities to organize charity programs as a responsibility."

"Although these gifts are not of great value, they represent the heart and concern of the unit for the community. From there, it helps children, the elderly, the disabled... feel the love and care of society" - Mr. Thanh added.

According to Mr. Thanh, in recent years, the unit has had many programs and activities to support students in remote areas and those in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quy - Director of Dak Lak Province Social Protection Center said that every time Lunar New Year approaches, the unit organizes many meaningful activities for children and the elderly...

"The center's activities all have the cooperation and support of businesses and local authorities at all levels. Through that, everyone in the center can feel a more complete and warmer Tet" - Mr. Quy shared.
