Lottery ticket sellers, department stores, patients... all contribute
In recent days, localities across the country have joined hands to support people in the Central and Central Highlands affected by natural disasters and floods. From the mainland to the islands, the people of An Giang province have joined hands to contribute money, goods, efforts... in the spirit of mutual love.
Present at Kien Giang General Hospital, recording the recent work of transporting goods onto vehicles, we encountered many patients' relatives, patients being treated here have come to support a lot. Some brought milk cartons, some brought bread cases, and some were healthy and helped the force move the goods onto the vehicle.
Mr. Tran Van Tam, a relative of the patient, shared: "I am raising my sick mother, but seeing a campaign to support people affected by natural disasters, my mother told me to buy 5 boxes of bread to bring here. As for me, I also helped the brothers and sisters move their belongings onto the car, I saw the people there suffering, I felt very sorry for them, and I helped them as much as I could.
Mr. Danh Ngoc Minh - Deputy Head of Social Work Department, Kien Giang General Hospital said: From the official dispatch of the Department of Health to support people affected by natural disasters, the hospital has become a focal point for calling and receiving. We also coordinate with benefactors to implement it, thereby receiving contributions from hospital staff and many people participating.
The patients and their families also volunteered to support. They saw that we were delivering goods and helped them, so the work went quickly. Many people are also suffering, but when they come to see a doctor and hear that the hospital is mobilizing, they also contribute. We really appreciate this heart, said Mr. Minh.

Mr. Huynh Minh Phung, a resident participating in the mobilization and transportation of goods, shared: We coordinate with a number of benefactors and hospitals to mobilize necessities and set up a point to receive goods to support people affected by natural disasters. Although the time for calling and receiving is short, people respond a lot, traders in the Rach Soi market area respond enthusiastically. They even temporarily put their work at the reception point to support the receipt of goods. I myself was on duty at the reception point and also met many low-income workers, but they still brought boxes of bread and fountain water to support me.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hang - Head of the Tan Tai Charity Association, said: during this period, the association mobilized benefactors and people to contribute 75 tons of various goods to send to people in areas affected by floods. Specifically, about 20 tons of rice, more than 800 kg of dried fish, 4,300 boxes of bread, 1,200 trays, nearly 20,000 doses of medicine and many other goods...
"It must be said that An Giang people have joined hands, been unanimous, and shared difficulties with areas affected by natural disasters. There are even lottery ticket sellers who come to quickly deposit 100,000 VND, some who work for hire and travel long distances to send bread boxes; some are housewives who work as a manager to save a little salary to buy 100 kg of rice... when I ask for information, they do not say they just laugh happily, hoping to contribute a little effort. Everyone at the reception point was extremely moved by the affection and affection that our compatriots have for each other, Ms. Hang confided.

In the remote island nation, Phu Quoc people joined hands to mobilize and support the people of the Central region.
Not only young people contribute but also older sisters participate and are not afraid of difficulties. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet, nearly 70 years old, confided: The TV reporter saw the people in the Central region suffering so much that he was in tears. Here, the children and grandchildren gathered to make food, some made salt and pepper, some stored fish, some gave rice, fish sauce... everyone was in agreement, I was very happy. If the young children are healthy enough to move their belongings to the Central region, I will support them very much. I have to be human, even though I don't have much, I feel very happy to help."
Previously, the An Giang Provincial working delegation led by Comrade Ho Van Mung, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, came to present 3 billion VND to support Khanh Hoa province in overcoming the consequences of floods. In addition, An Giang also supported Dak Lak province with 3 billion VND, Gia Lai province with 2 billion VND and Lam Dong province with 2 billion VND.
Many organizations, individuals, and philanthropists have also directly gone to the Central and Central Highlands provinces to support cash, necessities, etc. so that people in the provinces can overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
