Quang Tri - A tourist dropped his phone into the Ben Hai River while visiting Hien Luong relic and was supported to find and return it intact.

On September 4, Ms. Le Thi To Hoai - Head of the Management Board of Special National Historical Relics of Hien Luong - Ben Hai Banks (Cua Tung commune, Quang Tri province) - said that the unit had just supported a tourist family to find their phone that fell into the Ben Hai River.

According to Ms. Hoai, on September 1, a family of tourists from Hanoi came to visit Hien Luong - Ben Hai relic. When members took a group photo on Hien Luong bridge, the iPhone 17 Pro used for recording was suddenly blown down the river by the wind.

At about 9 am on the same day, the family informed the relic management board of the incident. Tourists said that there were many important data in their phones, so they wanted to be supported in searching.

At that time, divers in the area were participating in searching for a drowned person, so they could not provide immediate support. After many hours of waiting, the Relic Management Board encouraged the family to return to Hanoi and committed to continue searching for people to help find the phone.

Relic protection staff then contacted many people who could dive to search. A diver went down to the area where the phone fell, but due to deep, cloudy water and lack of support equipment, the search has not yielded results.

By the morning of September 2nd, a diver with specialized equipment continued to go down to the area where the phone was identified as falling. The water area here is about 5-6m deep.

After about an hour of searching, the iPhone 17 Pro was found under the Ben Hai River.

After finding the phone, Ms. Hoai carefully packed it and asked a group of tourists to return to Hanoi to take it with her to return to the person who dropped it.

By September 3, the tourist's family had returned the phone intact.
