On August 21, at La Lay border gate (Quang Tri province), authorized by the People's Committee of Hue City, the Hue City Border Guard Command in coordination with the Military Command of Se Kong province (Laos) organized a gift-giving ceremony to support people in Ta lui village, Ba Lam district, Se Kong province.
On behalf of the working group, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Toan - Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Hue City Border Guard sent his condolences and encouragement to the government and people of Ta lui village; and at the same time presented support including: 1,335m2 of corrugated iron roofing, rice, fish sauce and some necessities, worth a total of 260 million VND supported by the Hue City People's Committee.
Ta lui village is a particularly difficult area of segong province, where people mainly make a living by farming. In April 2025, a major fire broke out here, burning down 35/36 houses, making life, which was already lacking, even more difficult, in dire need of urgent support.
The support activities of Hue City through the City Border Guard not only help people in Ta lui village overcome the consequences of natural disasters and soon stabilize their lives, but also contribute to strengthening the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos, as well as between Hue City and Mekong Province.
