Minh Thu 11, a 11th grade student at Tan Hiep High School, shared that Hung Vuong National Temple is an extremely sacred place. Every time they come here, Minh Thu and her friends feel the solemnity, respect and deep gratitude for the Hung Kings - those who have contributed to building the country.

"The incense offering at the temple helps us to be more aware of our origin, the sacred relationship between the past, the present and the future of the nation. The great merits of the ancestors have evoked in our hearts of the responsibility of the younger generation in preserving and promoting the good cultural values of Vietnam," Minh Thu added.

Although the weather in the early days of April was quite hot, the atmosphere prepared for the death anniversary of Hung Vuong (the 10th of the third lunar month) still took place very exciting. At the temple campus, the local music team still worked hard to practice special performances to serve people on the upcoming important holiday.
Ms. Phan Thi Kim Loan, from Kinh 8A Hamlet, Thanh Dong A Commune, Tan Hiep District, a veteran member of the dance team, said that to have a complete dance, the team had to practice intensively for about two months. This performance will have 12 female participants. For many years, the team has only won second prize, this year the team is determined to practice thoroughly to win first prize.

In addition to cultural activities, the spirit of mutual love is also clearly demonstrated at the Temple. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham (43 years old, Tan Hiep B commune, Tan Hiep district) has volunteered to make bags to serve for free to people visiting the temple for 3 consecutive years.



Ms. Hong Tham shared that during the two days of activities, the team will make about 7,000 bags, 3,500 each day. Many people from all over have come here to join hands to make cakes. Each person contributed a little, some contributed rice, some contributed roads, some contributed strength, some contributed gifts...
Not only the bags, rice and drinks are also provided free of charge by benefactors, showing the sharing and hospitality of the people of Tan Hiep district as well as people in other localities to help.
Quoc To Hung Vuong temple in Dong Binh hamlet, Tan Hiep town, Tan Hiep district, Kien Giang province, is the first Hung King temple to be built in the Mekong Delta. The temple was formed in 1957 thanks to the contribution of the local people, with the desire to worship the Hung Kings and commemorate the ancestral origin. Over the years, the temple has always been preserved, protected and embellished by the people.

In 2004, Hung Vuong National Temple in Tan Hiep district was honored by the People's Committee of Kien Giang province to be ranked as a provincial-level historical - cultural relic, affirming the great historical, cultural and spiritual value of the temple in the hearts of the people of the Southern land.
