A fire occurred in Chu Se commune, Gia Lai province, killing 2 children.
According to initial information, at about 3 pm on March 21, Chu Se Commune Police received a report from people about a fire at the house of Ms. Mai Thi N. (born 1961, in hamlet 5, Chu Se commune, Gia Lai province).
Immediately after receiving the news, Chu Se Commune Police quickly deployed forces to the scene to coordinate with the people to organize firefighting. By 4 pm on the same day, the fire was extinguished.
During the firefighting process, functional agencies discovered 2 children, P.M. P. L (born 2021) and P.M. P. T (born 2019), trapped inside, so they were taken to Chu Se Medical Center for emergency treatment.
However, the 2 children were suspected of being poisoned by smoke from the burning plastic ceiling and died at the commune health center.
Currently, the Gia Lai Provincial Police Investigation Agency is coordinating with the Criminal Technical Department, Fire and Rescue Police Department and Chu Se Commune Police to examine the scene and collect information to verify and clarify the cause of the incident.
