Social networks are spreading videos recording the scene of a fire at a motel in Meo Vac commune (Tuyen Quang). At the time of the fire, many tourists staying in the motel were promptly moved out.
On March 20, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of Meo Vac Clay House 2 motel said that the fire occurred at the establishment on the morning of March 19.
There is not much property damage, tourists after being taken out have moved to the central area of the province. Currently, the guesthouse is working with functional agencies and has not resumed operation," the representative said.
Previously, at about 8:15 am on March 19, Meo Vac Commune Police received a fire report in Group 2, Meo Vac commune.
Functional forces then arrived at the scene to deploy rescue measures.
The area where the fire occurred is on the 5th floor, the place used to dry clothes, blankets, sheets, and pillows of the guesthouse. At the time of the fire, there were about 95 tourists staying at the guesthouse.
The rescue unit mobilized vehicles and implemented fire fighting measures. At the same time, it reassured the spirit, guided and supported stranded tourists to escape and move out of the smoke-contaminated area safely.
By about 8:30 am on the same day, the fire was completely extinguished, no casualties were recorded.
The initial cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical equipment failure.
