Making a Christmas cave from 4,000 cement bags in Nam Dinh

Nam Dinh - Xuan Duc Parish Church (Xuan Ninh Commune, Xuan Truong District) invested in 4,000 cement bags, 1,200 bamboo trees and 3,000 flashing lights to make a "giant" grotto.

Vat lieu lam hang da gom 400 bo gian giao, 1.200 cay tre, 4.000 vo bao xi mang, 200 bong den hat sang va 3.000 day den nhay. Kinh phi trang trai deu do ba con giao dan tu nguyen dong gop.
Materials for making the cave include about 400 sets of scaffolding, 1,200 bamboo poles, 4,000 cement bags, 200 light bulbs and 3,000 flashing lights. All expenses are covered by voluntary contributions from parishioners.

Mr. Mai Ngoc Dang (a parishioner of Xuan Duc Parish) said: "The construction of the grotto was done by experienced parishioners in the parish. The most elaborate is the main grotto, 20m high, 25m wide and 6m deep."
