Bat Xat Industrial Cluster (CCN), located in Bat Xat town, Bat Xat district, more than 50 hectares wide, approved by Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee on July 1, 2021, implementation progress for the period 2022 - 2024 with a total investment capital of more than 460 billion VND.
The project is invested by Vietnam Community Group Joint Stock Company to build technical infrastructure.
It is expected that when CCN operates, it will provide about 3,300 jobs.
However, up to now, according to people, no items have been built, the total area of 51.55 hectares is still forest land and land for growing industrial crops and perennial trees...
Dozens of households in Bat Xat town whose land is in the area serving the project are confused as everything is still unfinished, not knowing if the investor will continue to do it or not.
Present at the location planned to build the above hundred billion industrial complex at the end of August, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the entire project has not yet implemented any technical infrastructure items. Even leveling the ground has not been carried out.
At the time of recording, it can be easily observed that everything here is still covered by the green color of mountains and forests, with trees and weeds growing luxuriantly.
Mr. Nguyen Van Toan (residing in Bat Xat town) shared: "2-3 years ago, I heard that this area will implement a project to build industrial clusters. Yet until now, this place is still just hills and forests.
From that time until now, the government is still struggling to measure, count and verify the origin of people's land to compensate for site clearance. Currently, the project does not have any infrastructure, electricity or water."
On the afternoon of August 27, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Chairman of Bat Xat Town People's Committee Nguyen Van Hanh said: "The people and the government are very sympathetic, supportive, and even create the best conditions for the project to be invested and built in the town.
When the industrial park is formed, it will create more jobs for the people. At the same time, it will also help the locality develop and contribute to the state budget.
However, according to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bat Xat town, the project has only recently begun measuring and verifying the origin of the land. This process takes a lot of time because people sometimes plant forests and sometimes plant perennial trees.
Besides, one hill grows many types of trees and different sizes, so the prices are also different. People without land use rights certificates also make verification even more complicated.
"We only coordinate with units to propagate to the people, but when the project can be implemented is unknown," Mr. Hanh informed.
