Planning to attract investment
On July 3, the Department of Construction of Quang Ngai province consulted functional sectors, localities and residential communities to complete the Mang Den planning plan.
Currently, along with Ly Son and Sa Huynh, Mang Den is a destination attracting a large number of tourists from Quang Ngai province. Fresh climate and pristine nature are different highlights, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and experience.
However, the Quang Ngai provincial government believes that Mang Den has not yet developed commensurate with its potential, and needs to be re-planned and attract investors and businesses.
Even Quang Ngai province has to convert a part of natural forest land for other purposes to create land funds and premises to attract large businesses to invest in tourism development.
According to the Department of Construction of Quang Ngai province, Mang Den will be divided into 4 main sub-zones. Sub-zone MD1 (belonging to sub-zone 2) is an area for developing ecotourism, community tourism associated with preserving natural landscapes and local cultural identity; combining entertainment and sports activities, with an area of about 1,263 ha.
Sub-zone MD2 (belonging to sub-zone 1) is the administrative, political, cultural and social center of Mang Den commune.
At the same time, it is a high-quality integrated tourism service center of Mang Den Tourist Area; developing types of trade - services, accommodation and resort, entertainment, cuisine and cultural and ecological experiences, with a planned area of about 1,812 ha...
Growth needs to go hand in hand with forest and nature protection
The collection of opinions on the planning of sub-zones in Mang Den is still being further completed. Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee requests that the planning must be aimed at sustainable development, creating a basis for attracting investment, synchronously developing infrastructure and services.
Thereby, gradually building Mang Den Tourist Area into a high-quality tourism, resort, and eco-tourism destination.
Many people believe that Mang Den attracts tourists because of its pristine mountain and forest natural landscape.
Therefore, functional sectors need to focus on developing green spaces, protecting forest areas, and minimizing the situation of concretization causing the "heat island" effect. Construction works and architecture also need to be harmonious with nature.
According to the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee just issued, by 2030, Quang Ngai strives to become a unique tourist destination. According to the set target, the province will welcome about 10 million visitors, including 550,000 international visitors; tourism revenue will reach about 7,400 billion VND, contributing 5% of the province's GRDP.
The locality also aims to create jobs for about 21,000 workers through tourism activities and attract investment in at least 5 tourism projects meeting 4-5 star standards.
