The Science and Technology Book Exhibition contributes to spreading reading culture and promoting innovation based on scientific and technological achievements.

From October 10 to 12, the National Agency for Science and Technology Information in collaboration with the Science and Technology Publishing House organized the Science and Technology Book Exhibition with the theme "Knowledge and Technology: Journey of Innovation".

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Xuan Dinh said that books play a fundamental role in human civilization and help transfer human knowledge from generation to generation. Books can also help us develop skills, improve communication skills and enhance creativity, constantly strive to improve ourselves and contribute to the development of society.

At this year's book exhibition, the organizers displayed and introduced printed books and e-books to introduce achievements in the innovation, development and integration of the capital and the country after nearly 40 years of innovation.

On the same afternoon, many interesting and useful activities took place within the framework of the exhibition. Among them, the discussion introducing the book "Vietnamese-English-Chinese Dictionary of Science, Technology and Innovation", "Thyroid surgery techniques - Method of "removing fish from the net" by the speaker, Master, Doctor Mai Van Sam attracted the attention of many students and young people interested in the field of science and technology.

During the 3-day exhibition, the country's innovation journey will be recreated through scientific books, presented in 3 stages.

In particular, the period before 1975 displayed valuable books by famous scientists who made great contributions to the struggle for national liberation and unification such as Truong Chinh, Vo Nguyen Giap, Ton That Tung, Pham Ngoc Thach, Ta Quang Buu, Ho Dac Di...

Then, from 1975 to 2002, books by scientists, politicians, military, and medical experts who made great contributions to the country's post-war reconstruction were displayed, such as Vo Nguyen Giap, Tran Duc Luong, Nguyen Tai Thu, Nguyen Van Dao, Bui Huy Dap, Nguyen Dien, etc.

The period from 1975 to present is divided into two areas for displaying printed books and digital documents. The printed book area displays books from the renovation period, especially works by Vietnamese scientists whose names are listed in the world's scientific fields.

The digital document area introduces the latest updated electronic documents from the world's leading databases such as ScienceDirect, Springer Nature, IEEE, ACS, OECD, ProQuest Central, Scopus, InCites for readers to access for free online.

In addition, the exhibition also organized 3 scientific seminars with the topics: "Gen AI: Breakthrough tool in academic research"; "Skills in exploiting science and technology information sources for scientific research"; "AI and career guidance".
