Kim Dong Publishing House introduces the book series "A Friendship" by Vietnamese authors and artists, with unique and new experiences revolving around the theme of friendship.

These are the first publications of the "Miracle S Bookcase" project, jointly developed by Kim Dong Publishing House and The Initiative of Children's Book Creative content (ICBC), to promote the creation of children's picture books on diverse topics by Vietnamese authors and illustrators.

With the theme "A Friendship", the first 4 publications officially launched to readers include: "We Are Your Friend", "We Are Players", "A Poem to You Every Month", "My Hanoi"...

In recent years, books by Vietnamese authors have flourished, receiving much attention from domestic and international readers, as well as parents and children enthusiastically welcoming them.

Many books by Kim Dong Publishing House have been reprinted many times over the years, sold for copyright in many countries around the world, attracting attention in many international book fairs. Thanks to that, Vietnamese comic book authors have more motivation to continue creating and their works are also increasingly improved.

The series of books with the theme "A Friendship" has been launched continuously since the beginning of October this year, bringing young Vietnamese readers simple but profound picture books, with beautifully invested illustrations.

Right from the time of its release and introduction at the Frankfurt International Book Fair, the book duo "We are friends" (Vietnamese) - "We are friends" (English) by the group of authors Thanh Tam, Phuong Vu, Hoai Anh, in collaboration with translators Ngo Ha Thu and artist Cam Anh Ng has received a lot of attention.

The book tells the journey to explore the warm and joyful world of friendship, cleverly expressed in special words, arranged in Alphabet order. Each page opens a sacred memory of friendship. The book's delicate lyrics are further enhanced by Cam Anh Ng's vivid and poetic illustrations.

"Give you a poem every month" is a smaller picture of friendship, wrapped in the space of an old apartment building, throughout the four seasons of love. Warm stories about friendship are told in the rhythm of time, each month is a gentle poem, like an endless journey of friendship and sharing.

The pages of books open up a cool green space, with grass, birds, the wind, the sun, and the friendship that continues to grow over the years of maturity. Painter Ngo Thanh Duc's paintings also have a change from smooth green to dark brown red, emphasizing the continuous circulation of time and friendship.

My Hanoi - My Hanoi is a bilingual book between Vietnamese and English by author Phuong Vu, a person born and raised in Hanoi, who loves every alley, every small thing of the capital. The book starts from a small room in an old-fashioned apartment building, following two children on their journey to become friends, readers will be able to visit familiar sites of the old town, admire a colorful Hanoi, walk through street vendors, smell the aroma of flowers and leaves, a bowl of pencils...

The appearance of these 3 picture books will contribute to creating new colors for the overall picture that is improving in Vietnamese picture books.

On the occasion of the launch of the book series "A Friendship", Kim Dong Publishing House cooperated with ICBC to organize a Book Introduction Week from December 20 to 28 with many activities with readings and workshops with the participation of authors, helping works get closer to young Vietnamese readers.
