After the success of "The Mountains Sing", her second English-language novel "Dust Child" continues to conquer readers and critics around the world, has been translated into more than 15 languages and published in 20 countries, winning many awards in the field of literature.
With a long journey in the international arena, the novel "Dust Wind" by writer Nguyen Phan Que Mai has been officially introduced to Vietnamese readers, translated by the author and translator Thien Nga herself, aiming to bring a complete and closest possible translated version.

The book was invested in research and composition by author Nguyen Phan Que Mai over a period of 7 years. The characters and plot are novelised from the information collected in the author's doctoral research project as well as from her practical experiences in the process of connecting to help American veterans find children.
The novel was also translated by translator Thien Nga, along with more than a year of hard work with the author's own translations, to convey the most complete and complete thoughts of each character.
Author Nguyen Phan Que Mai shared, "When I was young, books were the boats that took me from the poor countryside to the prosperity and abundance of the world. I always wished to travel around the world through stories and now, it is an honor that my novel can reach places where I have never had the opportunity to set foot.

Born in Ninh Binh and raised in Bac Lieu, Nguyen Phan Que Mai is currently one of the outstanding Vietnamese writers in international literature.
As a writer, poet, journalist and translator, she composes in Vietnamese and English, and is the author of 13 books. Nguyen Phan Que Mai's literary and poetic works have been translated into 25 languages and received many domestic and foreign literary awards.
At the same time, she is also active in the field of education and development. Many Vietnamese poems by Nguyen Phan Que Mai have been set to music and become popular songs such as "The Fatherland calls My Name".
She also received the first prize of the "poetry about Hanoi" contest, the Hanoi Writers Association Award, and the Hanoi Literature - Arts Association Award.
In 2021, Nguyen Phan Que Mai was honored by Forbes Vietnam as one of the 20 inspirational women. The female writer has a PhD in creative writing from Lancaster University, UK.
