The book "Tet of the Loving Horse" officially launched in the first quarter of 2026, licensed by Vietnam Women's Publishing House and published and distributed by Canh Cam Books. This is a 4th Tet book by Canh Cam Books, continuing 4 consecutive years of bringing spring stories to children.
The central character of the story is the wild horse Loc Xoay, starting from the free forests, where horse hooves rampage without barriers.
He accidentally strayed into the riverine countryside of the South - a place with people, villages, Tet and love. From here, Loc Xoay began his journey to explore, learn how to be attached, love and find a real home to return to.
The special feature of the book lies in its slow rhythm of storytelling, rich in images and emotions, not focusing on fierce conflicts or dramatic situations. Each chapter opens up familiar and vivid scenes: red fire stove, pot of braised pork with eggs, boiled banh tet, smell of banana leaves, kitchen smoke, scene of floating markets bustling with boats...

These details not only lay the foundation for the story but also create a memory space, where readers, whether children or adults, can find their childhood.
Parallel to the Tet daily life picture is the subtle transformation in the soul of Loc Xoai. From a horse that only knew how to race, afraid of being bound and rejecting all limits, Loc Xoai gradually learned to slow down, observe, listen and experience human life.
Through the clumsy collisions with human life, through the silent patience of Mr. Ba Khia, the gentleness of Bui Sao and the innocent feelings of Nhoc Ti, the wild horse realizes that there are unbounded ropes that keep people with love.
Loving Horse Tet" is therefore not only a story about a Tet season, but also a story about returning - returning to the home, to the community and to simple, lasting values. The work conveys that freedom is not the opposite of attachment, and sometimes happiness is when we find the place we want to return to.
