The book Wild Hoang - a perspective on the worldview of author Juan Villoro

The Wild Hoang Book by author Juan Villoro was introduced to readers on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Mexico.

The Wild Hunger Book is a literary work for children and adolescents that has sold nearly 2 million copies in Mexico, translated into many languages and converted to Braille for the blind and in the process of film adaptation.

The launch of the Wildlife Book in Vietnamese is one of the most important events in the series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Vietnam - Mr. Alejandro Negrin Muñoz - Mexicoese Ambassador to Vietnam shared.

The work tells the story of a 13-year-old Juan boy facing a horrifying summer when he often encounters scary nightmares; his parents divorced, his mother quit smoking and drinking all day, and his father had gone to Paris (France) far away; and worse, this summer vacation he will have to temporarily leave his familiar home as well as his friends to live at the house of Uncle Tito - a strange old man living alone, in a house full of books!

That boring and lonely vacation becomes more and more thrilling, interesting, and attractive when Juan realizes that the books at his father's house are not ordinary: They secretly move without anyone paying attention, they change and steal each other's content, they only appear if they want to be read. It seems that the new books are the owners of the library.

It is even more special when Juan knows about the existence of a book that has never been read, has never been written and has never been published - The Wild Sun Book. The surprising adventure helps Juan find a precious book and discover many wonderful things about books and life.

The story is not only attractive by the adventure, fantasy but also conveys a deep message about the value of reading, the power of imagination and healing ability of the book to the young soul. The book is suitable for readers 10 years and older, and anyone who loves to explore, create and appreciate the value of the book.

"The Wild Hoang Book" has become an international publishing phenomenon with nearly 2 million copies sold in Mexico, translated into many languages, adapted into Braille for the blind and is in the process of being adapted into a movie.

Author Juan Villoro expressed his happiness when his work was published in Vietnam: I am lucky that this work has been translated into many languages, including Braille for the blind. Now, I am extremely happy to have this journey to Vietnam. Since I was a child, I have known about the heroic history of this great country and have always dreamed of having the opportunity to set foot here.

The launching ceremony of "Wild Hoang Book" was organized by Nha Nam in collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico in Vietnam and the Faculty of Spanish Language - Hanoi University at 9:30 a.m. on May 9 at Hanoi University. The event is an opportunity for Vietnamese readers to talk about a famous work of Spanish literature, and also to learn about the Spanish language in the face of increasing demand in Vietnam.
