As a result, that day, the whole auditorium was surprised by an office guy who spoke charmingly, humorously and mastered the stage excellently. A few years later, speaking and internal training became a brilliant new part of his career.
That ability is not naturally born on that day, it has existed for a long time, just buried too carefully under a safe cover. People tend to judge themselves by what they have done in the past, while the real limit of human life lies in things we have never dared to try. Fear is inherently an extremely sophisticated camouflage. It rarely says directly "you will fail", but often whispers in our ears reasonable words such as "for another time", "wait and prepare more carefully", or "there is someone better than me". Thus, countless potentials and dreams are postponed year after year, being pushed to the sidelines not because of lack of capacity, but because of a lack of a first step to break the balance.
In fact, failure is not the most regrettable thing in the world. What is even more regrettable is the feeling many years later looking back, when our hair has turned gray, we still bewilderedly ask ourselves: "If I tried that day, what would things be like?". The person who fails at least has a clear answer, and those who dare not start will forever have to carry a question mark hanging over them for life. Life is inherently not rewarded for ideas that lie still in their heads, it only opens up opportunities for those who accept to embark and act.
Of course, not every attempt leads to success. There will be times when you stumble, there are doors that open and then close right in front of your eyes. But an unseeded seed still silently makes the land more fertile, a trip that does not reach the destination still gives us more life experiences, and a failure still helps us understand ourselves more deeply than yesterday. You will never know how strong you are and how far you can go if you keep standing still at the starting line to weigh risks. The distance between a peaceful, faint life and a memorable, proud journey does not lie in talent or luck. It only starts from the moment you stop looking, but bravely put your hand on the doorknob to open your own world.
