The school costs less than 6,000 VND/book.

Having their prizes swapped, the school's good students were upset, so the parent representative had to file a complaint for the school to explain. However, in many meetings, the problem has not been convincingly explained and resolved satisfactorily by the board of directors of Thai Phien High School.

The application was sent to the City Department of Education and Training and the Department verified it, concluding that the feedback from parents and teachers at the school was correct. Principal of Thai Phien High School - Nguyen Ba Hao signed the contract and bought notebooks himself, not bidding according to state regulations. This school has created a list of students to sign to receive money.

Therefore, the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City decided to force the Principal of Thai Phien High School to refund the entire amount of 138,400,000 VND to students who signed to receive money but were given notebooks.

Not to mention a series of other violations in the procurement of assets, teaching equipment, repair of facilities, payments to teachers... by principal Nguyen Ba Hao were discovered after this report. Just swapping awards for students with excellent achievements and good students is unacceptable.

The educational environment is the place that needs to be the most honest and transparent. Any activity needs to be educational.

Giving rewards to students must be of the greatest educational nature. Because, praise and rewards for excellent and good academic achievements do not necessarily have high value or a lot of cash, but the greatest value is encouragement. Rewarding is recognizing students' efforts to study and practice well, while also honoring and creating confidence for those students themselves. At the same time, it also encourages the learning spirit for other students to set an example and strive.

Because of so many difficulties, teachers at Tak Po school (belonging to Tra Tap Primary School for Ethnic Minority Boarding School, Nam Tra My high mountain district, Quang Nam) have to strongly mobilize sponsors, so that on every important occasion, gifts He gave his students a meal with meat, honeycomb sandals, a float bag, a bowl of Quang noodles... But that love touched so many hearts and spread to all regions. Students were touched and loved their teachers, so on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, they brought chips of cassava roots, a pair of bamboo shoots, and bunches of wild vegetables as gifts... Gifts that were heavy with gratitude and rich in education.

It is also not necessary to award each reward of up to 19 million VND/student (for achieving high scores in the 2024 high school graduation exam), accompanied by a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee like in Nghe An.

Each place, each school has a different situation, difficult to compare, but swapping rewards, having students sign for money and then handing out 20 notebooks is deception, fraud, and a violation of ethics.

Therefore, forcing Principal Hao to return 138,400,000 VND to his good student is not enough. The Da Nang education and training industry needs to strictly handle Mr. Hao's unethical and exemplary behavior. Even suggesting investigating and prosecuting whether acts are corrupt or not... will serve as a deterrent and return a clean environment for education.
