The Ministry of Health has issued Document No. 290/TB-BYT to ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government; People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities have notified the list of agencies and units under and directly under the Ministry of Health that have changed their organizations according to Plan No. 141/KH-BCDTKNQQ18 dated December 6, 2024 of the Government Steering Committee summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on the orientation of arranging and streamlining the Government's organizational structure.
According to the document, the Ministry of Health has submitted to the Government to issue Decree No. 42/2025/ND-CP dated February 27, 2025 stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health issued Decision No. 827/QD-BYT dated March 10, 2025 on receiving 10 units under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs under the management of the Ministry of Health.

The list of units that have changed their names and organizational structure is as follows:
1. Department of Social Protection, Ministry of Health (on the basis of merging the Department of Prevention and Control of Social evils and the Department of Social Protection under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs).
2. The Department of Disease Prevention, Ministry of Health (based on the merger of the Department of Health Environment Management, the Department of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control and the Department of Preventive Medicine under the Ministry of Health).
3. The Department of Mothers and Children, Ministry of Health (on the basis of merging the Department of Maternal and Child Health under the Ministry of Health and the Department of Children under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs).
4. Department of Infrastructure and Medical Equipment, Ministry of Health ( renamed from the Department of Infrastructure and Medical Equipment of the Ministry of Health).
5. Hanoi Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, Ministry of Health.
6. Da Nang Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, Ministry of Health.
7. Quy Nhon Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, Ministry of Health.
8. Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, Ministry of Health.
9. Can Tho Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, Ministry of Health.
