From March 1, the organizational structure of the Ministry of Health has 20 units, including: 17 administrative organizations assisting ministers in performing state management functions (5 departments; Ministry offices; Ministry Inspectorate; 10 departments) and 3 public service units serving the state management function of the ministry.

Previously, the organizational structure of the Ministry of Health had 21 units, including: 18 administrative organizations assisting ministers in performing state management functions (6 departments, Ministry offices, Ministry inspectorates, 10 departments) and 3 public service units serving the state management function of the ministry.
According to the new organizational structure of the Ministry of Health, there is no longer the Department of Maternal and Child Health; Department of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control; Department of Preventive Medicine; Department of Medical Environment Management.

No later than January 1, 2026, medical examination and treatment facilities with the form of a hospital classified as a medical examination and treatment must basically prescribe drugs electronically.
No later than January 1, 2027, other medical examination and treatment facilities that prescribe drugs according to the provisions of the law on medical examination, treatment and pharmacy must prescribe drugs electronically. See more
