Drink enough water after waking up
After one night, the body loses a certain amount of water. Drinking enough water in the morning helps replenish the necessary fluids, supports kidney function and urine secretion. This is one of the habits that can help the body eliminate uric acid better. People with gout should maintain drinking water regularly throughout the day instead of just drinking a lot at one time.
Light, balanced breakfast
Diet plays an important role in controlling uric acid. People with gout should limit purine-rich foods such as animal organs, some seafood and red meat; and avoid or limit beer and alcohol. Breakfast should prioritize low-purine, fiber-rich foods and supplement with suitable vegetables and fruits to build a balanced diet.
Limit staying up late
Maintaining reasonable sleep and rest time is also beneficial for overall health and metabolism. Staying up late often, lack of sleep can affect many bodily functions, including metabolism and kidney health. Therefore, people with gout should maintain a stable sleep time, limit staying up late and ensure adequate rest time.

Limit alcohol in the evening
Alcohol can increase the risk of uric acid buildup and trigger acute gout episodes in some people. In particular, drinking alcohol regularly or in large quantities can be detrimental to the metabolism and excretion of uric acid. Therefore, people with high uric acid or gout should minimize alcohol, instead of just changing the drinking time.
Do not eat animal organs in the evening
Animal organs such as the liver, kidneys, intestines, and heart often contain a lot of purines, which can increase the amount of uric acid in the body. People with gout should limit this food group in general, not only in the evening. Instead, you can choose protein sources suitable for your health condition and recommended diet.
In addition to adjusting diet and lifestyle, regular exercise with appropriate intensity also helps maintain weight and metabolic health. Walking, brisk walking or light exercises are long-term options.
However, lifestyle changes do not replace gout medication. If uric acid levels increase for a long time or joint pain and swelling appear frequently, patients should be examined for appropriate assessment and treatment.
