Faced with the situation of local medical human resources needing a team of good medical staff and training human resources for the future, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee of Binh Thuan have issued many policies on training, attracting and rewarding human resources. Based on that, every year, the Department of Health of Binh Thuan province plans to send people for university and postgraduate training in various fields.
According to the Director of the Department of Health of Binh Thuan province, from 2008 to 2021, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province has sent 231 students to medical university training under training contracts. To date, 202 cases have graduated and performed duties at public health facilities in the province, while 29 cases are still studying.
In addition, the province has sent 15 officials to receive university-level training in medicine, 21 officials working at public health facilities to receive Level II specialist training, and 136 officials to study Level I specialist training and equivalent in medicine and pharmacy.
To support training, attracting and rewarding medical human resources in Binh Thuan province, a number of Resolutions have been issued. Doctors invited to participate in the project will enjoy an incentive of 80 million VND/month of work. Or according to working days, they will receive more than 3.6 million VND/day and be paid 1 million VND/day for accommodation, and be encouraged in cash upon completion of the project.
Doctors who are recruited to work as civil servants in public service units under the Health sector and the Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs sector will receive a one-time incentive of 600 million VND for university-level doctors, 700 million VND for resident doctors; doctors with a master's degree, and level I specialists. Doctors with a doctorate and level II specialists will receive 800 million VND.
If you choose to receive the annual regime for 10 years, the amount will be 60 - 70 - 80 million VND/year, corresponding to the qualifications as receiving it once. There are many preferential policies for doctors working in mountainous communes and ethnic minority areas.
For civil servants who go to university training, 100% of tuition fees and additional research and study costs are supported, which is 1.5 million VND/month of actual study.
Medical university students are also supported with 100% of tuition fees according to the training contract signed by the competent authority with the training institution. Research and study costs are supported with 3 million VND/month of actual study. Postgraduate training is also supported with 100% of tuition fees and additional research and study costs of 220 million VND/student/course for doctoral and level II specialist doctors; 120 million VND for masters, level I specialist doctors, and resident doctors.
According to the Binh Thuan Department of Health, in 2024, the Department of Health received 12 applications from candidates admitted to the Medical School, course 2024 - 2030 at Medical Universities across the country and the Department of Health is synthesizing and submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for approval to send them for training.
