According to the Pharmaceutical Professional Department under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, after the Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) issued an official dispatch on inspecting the circulation of Getino-B Tablets 300mg suspected of being fake.
Previously, Getino-B Tablets 300mg product, batch number 664F44 was purchased by customers in Ho Chi Minh City, specifically 4 boxes at Nhi Trung pharmacy, address 362 Hai Ba Trung, Tan Dinh ward.
After conducting a test of this drug sample with the sample of Getino-B Tablets 300mg, batch number 664F44 stored at the manufacturing facility, the company affirmed that the drug sample sold at the above pharmacy was not a product manufactured by Getz Pharma (Pvt) Ltd and suspected that this was a fake drug.
The investigation report of the suspected drug sample shows that the content, font, spacing between rows and font alignment of the suspected sample are different from the sample approved for production. Many contents on the dispenser are in Vietnamese but the English presentation is not consistent with the real sample...
Therefore, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health requests drug businesses and users not to buy, sell, or use products that show signs of being different from genuine drugs; review, store separately and immediately report to functional agencies when detecting suspicious products.
At the same time, inspect the entire list of drugs being traded and used at the unit; do not trade or use fake drugs, drugs of unknown origin, drugs that are not allowed to circulate, and drugs that do not meet quality standards.
Only allowed to do business within the licensed scope, with products with legal invoices and documents, and clear origins.
To ensure safety for users, promptly detect and prevent counterfeit products circulating on the market, the Department of Health requests the People's Committees of wards, communes, and special zones to notify pharmaceutical business establishments, medical examination and treatment facilities, and people not to buy, sell, or use products with the above batch numbers.
When detecting suspicious products, request organizations and individuals to immediately report to functional agencies for handling according to regulations.
Strengthen propaganda to raise people's vigilance, not to use medicines/healthcare products of unknown origin; only buy at legal business establishments, products with transparent and clear information.
The Inspection - Legal Department presides over and coordinates with relevant functional agencies to inspect the compliance with legal regulations in the field of pharmaceutical business at Nhi Trung pharmacy;
Focus on verifying the origin, invoices and documents for the sale of Getino-B Tablets 300mg drugs with signs of violations mentioned above, and strictly handle violations (if any) according to the provisions of law.
Getino B 300mg is formulated in film-coated tablets, with the main ingredient being Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate. The drug is used to treat chronic hepatitis B or in combination with antagonists to control HIV.
