Last week, Cau Giay District (Hanoi) recorded 1 case of COVID-19. In 2025, Hanoi recorded 3 cases of COVID-19.

According to the most recent update report on the epidemic in the last week (from February 7 to 14) of the Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC Hanoi), the whole city recorded 32 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, an increase of 22 cases compared to the previous week, with no deaths.

Hanoi CDC also said that last week, a case of COIVD-19 was recorded in Cau Giay District. From the beginning of 2025 to now, the city has recorded 3 cases of COVID-19, no deaths. The number of COIVD-19 cases has decreased sharply compared to the same period in 2024 (318 cases).

Talking to Lao Dong about the latest COVID-19 cases, Mr. Khong Minh Tuan - Deputy Director of the Hanoi City Center for Disease Control - said that now, people with COVID-19 are like a normal flu.

Because COVID-19 is an infectious disease, the Hanoi CDC still records and collects complete statistics. However, up to now, the number of people infected with COVID-19 has not fluctuated; those infected are not new strains, there are no worrisome problems.

Meanwhile, regarding the COIVD-19 epidemic and variants, the World Health Organization said it is monitoring a number of SARS-CoV-2 variants, including 1 interested variant (VOI) JN.1 and 7 currently being monitored variants (VUM). Of which, the variety that needs attention is JN.1, accounting for 15% of COVID-19 cases tested, in the first week of this year.

The Ministry of Health recommends that it is currently in the winter - spring period, the weather changes abnormally, the demand for trade, travel, and tourism increases at the end of the year, which is the cause and condition for the appearance and spread of infectious diseases, especially respiratory diseases such as influenza, measles, rubella, whooping cough, which are at risk of breaking out into epidemics.

Therefore, people need to do 2K (diseptic surgery) to prevent COVID-19 and respiratory diseases.
