On February 17, the Hanoi CDC said that last week (from February 7 to February 14), Hanoi recorded 32 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, an increase of 22 cases compared to the previous week. Some localities have many patients such as Soc Son district with 7 cases, Ha Dong district with 5 cases and Nam Tu Liem with 4 cases.
According to Hanoi CDC, the number of measles patients last week was still high (114 cases), mainly in people who had not been vaccinated or had not been fully vaccinated.
In particular, the Hanoi CDC has recorded 1 case of COVID-19 in Cau Giay District. Since the beginning of 2025, Hanoi has recorded 3 cases of COVID-19, a sharp decrease compared to the same period in 2024 (318 cases).
The Hanoi CDC recommends that district, county and town health centers organize a measles vaccination campaign in the area for subjects from 6 months to under 9 months old.
The Hanoi CDC requires increased communication about the epidemic situation in the area and measures to prevent and control epidemics in the winter and spring (especially flu and measles) for people to proactively implement.
