On the evening of January 23, Vinh Dinh Commune Police (Quang Tri Provincial Police) said that 6 officers and soldiers of the unit promptly donated 6 units of blood, helping a cancer patient who was eligible for surgery in critical condition.
The patient is Ms. D.P.H (born in 1980, residing in Quang Tri ward), who was prescribed surgery for multiple uterine fibroids at Trieu Hai Regional General Hospital. However, due to severe anemia while the hospital's blood reserves were exhausted, the surgery was at risk of being postponed. Previously, the patient had just undergone thyroid cancer treatment, and her health had temporarily stabilized.
Immediately after grasping the information, the leaders of Vinh Dinh Commune Police urgently reviewed and mobilized officers and soldiers with appropriate blood types to the hospital for testing and blood donation. Through screening, 6 qualified officers and soldiers directly donated 6 units of blood, helping the surgery to be carried out in time.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Head of Vinh Dinh Commune Police, the patient is a relative of an officer in the unit. However, blood donation is not only of personal significance but also shows the spirit of responsibility and sharing of the police force with the people and comrades.
Timely and humane actions of officers and soldiers of Vinh Dinh Commune Police have contributed to spreading the beautiful image of the People's Police force in the community.
