The Food Safety Department requested Shopee and Lazada to stop business and remove Slimaura Care x3 products after discovering incorrect product announcement information.

The Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) has just sent a document to the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), e-commerce platforms Shopee and Lazada on strengthening the management of functional food business in e-commerce.

According to the Food Safety Department, through post-inspection of the implementation of regulations on registration of declarations and self-declaration, production, and business of functional foods, this agency discovered that Slimaura Care x3 products are being advertised and traded on e-commerce platforms Shopee and Lazada.

Through searching the data for the Certificate of Receipt of Product Announcement Registration, the Food Safety Department said that it did not issue Certificate of Receipt of Product Announcement Registration No. 838/2024/ĐKSP dated February 23, 2024 for Slimaura Care x3 product of Slimaura Care Vietnam Trading and Service Co., Ltd.

To ensure the health and rights of consumers, and at the same time ensure that functional food production and business activities comply with the provisions of law, the Food Safety Department requests the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy to continue to notify e-commerce platforms and business booths on the platform to request to stop trading the above-mentioned products, remove information about violating products and handle them according to the provisions of law.

For Shopee and Lazada, the Food Safety Department requested the two exchanges to urgently review functional food business activities on the exchange, only trading functional food products that have been granted a Certificate of Receipt of Registration of Product Announcement or have been announced on the updated information data system on food safety according to regulations.

At the same time, advertising products that are subject to advertising content registration can only be carried out in accordance with the content and scope that have been confirmed by competent authorities.

The Food Safety Department also requested Shopee and Lazada to immediately stop doing business, remove information about Slimaura Care x3 products, continue to strictly implement previous directives of the Department on managing functional food business activities in e-commerce and report the implementation results in writing to the Food Safety Department before August 7, 2026.

Many booths use promotional content such as "supporting reducing cravings", "limiting fat absorption", "maintaining figure"... to introduce products.
