On the morning of June 27, the Ministry of Public Security organized a rally to respond to the 2026 Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control to spread the message of joining hands to build a safe living environment without drugs. The rally was connected online nationwide.


At the Dien Bien provincial-level bridge point, the "Joint determination to build communes and wards without drugs" movement event has about 3,000 athletes participating in a 1km response run on the 7th of May road (60m road), and competing in the women's 3km race and the men's 5km race.
This year's Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control takes place in the context of the crime and drug evils situation continuing to be complicated, especially in border areas.


At the same time, raising awareness and responsibility of each citizen towards the task of protecting themselves, their families and the community from the danger of drugs.
The organization of the rally demonstrates the determination of the police force together with all levels, sectors, unions and the whole society in the work of preventing, combating, and preventing crime and drug evils.


Participating in the 3km event, Ms. Quang Thi Cuong - said: "The race is a meaningful activity, promoting the community, especially the younger generation, to replace negative habits by actively training their bodies. Sports training helps build a healthy lifestyle, cultivating a'steel' spirit to firmly say no to all temptations.
Also on the morning of June 27, at the Lai Chau provincial bridge point, the program was organized on a simultaneous scale at the provincial level (3,000 people) and 36 commune-level bridge points (12,000 people).



Immediately after the rally, the movement running race "Joining hands to build communes and wards without drugs" officially kicked off with the participation of 600 athletes, competing in a distance of 3km for women and 5km for men.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee proceeded to award First, Second, Third, and Consolation medals to the athletes with the most outstanding achievements.
