By 2025, Hai Duong strives to have 13 doctors per 10,000 people. This is one of 15 important socio-economic development targets set by the province.
Hai Duong also set a target of having 33.8 hospital beds (excluding commune-level health stations) per 10,000 people. These two indicators reflect the quality and health care services of the province.
To achieve the two health targets in 2025, in December 2024, the People's Council of Hai Duong province issued a Resolution stipulating policies to support training, attraction and treatment of health human resources at public agencies and units, with the highest support level of 500 million VND.
The Provincial People's Committee also approved the Project "Strengthening facilities and medical equipment at public health service units at the provincial level in the period of 2025-2030" with a total investment of nearly 1,600 billion VND. Of which, the estimated budget allocated for 2025 is 117 billion VND.
In 2024, the province's doctor ratio will reach 12 doctors/10,000 people, an increase of 0.7 doctors/10,000 people compared to 2023. The ratio of hospital beds (excluding commune-level health stations) per 10,000 people will reach 33.3 hospital beds/10,000 people, an increase of 1.1 hospital beds/10,000 people compared to 2023.
