According to the week 37 (September 13-13) dengue fever report, the whole city recorded 39 new cases, with no deaths. Accumulated from the beginning of the year to date, Hai Phong has 278 cases, of which 249 cases have been confirmed, a decrease of 203 cases compared to the same period in 2025 (481 cases).
Notably, the number of cases in the week continued to increase compared to the previous week, while the average for the last 4 weeks was 21.5 cases/week. Some areas with high accumulated cases include Le Chan 27 cases, An Bien 22 cases, Cat Hai 19 cases, Hong Bang 17 cases and Hai An 12 cases.
During the week, the city recorded 7 more outbreaks, down 4 outbreaks compared to the previous week. However, there have been accumulated 47 outbreaks, of which 12 are active. An Bien, An Hai wards and Cat Hai special zone are localities identified as at high risk.
Faced with the risk of increased epidemics, localities continue to implement environmental sanitation, spray chemicals to kill mosquitoes and disease prevention communication. The health sector recommends that people not be subjective, proactively kill mosquitoes, kill larvae/tadpoles, remove water containers, limit mosquito bites and go to medical facilities when there are signs of dengue fever.
