The Ministry of Education and Training on the afternoon of September 17 sent universities a new draft circular on amending and supplementing a number of regulations on university admissions and training for comments.
The Ministry expects the new Circular to take effect this year, meaning it will be applied from the 2027 university entrance exam season.
The draft for consultation is adjusted compared to the version announced on the Ministry's Information Portal in the early afternoon today.
Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training still limits the university admission method but according to a roadmap. In 2027, schools are allowed to use a maximum of 5 admission methods, excluding direct admission and group admission. Each major and training program will apply three methods, instead of one as initially drafted.
From 2028, the Ministry expects schools to only use one enrollment method for one major and program.
