On September 10, the Steering Committee for periodic health check-ups or free screening for people in Lai Chau province organized the 9th online conference to assess the progress of the campaign.
According to the Lai Chau Department of Health, by the end of September 9, the whole province had 412,671/501,420 people examined, reaching 82.3% of the population and 99.03% of the population present in the locality.
In the week from September 4th to 8th, an additional 5,116 people were examined. Some localities reached a rate of over 90% of the population after the review such as Muong Te, Bum Nua, Pa U, Ta Tong, Thu Lum, Nam So, Pa Tan, Le Loi and Tan Phong.
The health sector is also promoting the application of technology in health management. As of September 8, 331,394 people had electronic health records created.
Concluding the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee Tong Thanh Hai requested communes and wards to continue to review and mobilize people who have not been examined to come to the examination points; and at the same time update information for people who are absent to ensure adequate health management.
The Police force was requested to coordinate to clean up population data. The Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Department of Health to review and compile a list of students to organize examinations for all students.
The goal set by Lai Chau is to complete periodic health check-ups or free screening for 100% of people in the area.
