Dak Lak - Functional forces have successfully rescued a resident swept away in the floodwaters.

On September 10, Phu Xuan Commune Police, Dak Lak province said that functional forces had just promptly rescued a resident swept away by floodwaters in the overflow bridge area of hamlet 6.

At about 5:30 pm on the same day, due to the impact of heavy rain, the water in the overflowing bridge area in hamlet 6, Phu Xuan commune rose high, flowing swiftly, posing a potential danger to people and vehicles passing by.

Faced with the above situation, Phu Xuan Commune Police deployed forces and vehicles to be on duty in the area, organize danger warnings, regulate traffic and support people.

While driving a car across the overflowing bridge, a resident unfortunately fell, causing both the person and the car to be swept away from the road by the fast-flowing water. Notably, in the trunk of the car were 20 million VND and some people's belongings.

Discovering the incident, Phu Xuan Commune Police officers and forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level who were on duty at the scene immediately used life jackets and rescue ropes to approach the victims.

In conditions of strong water flow, the forces coordinated and brought people to safe locations.

After successfully rescuing people, the working group continued to go down to the water, coordinating to bring the car that was swept away and trapped under the overflowing bridge ashore.

Thanks to timely rescue, people were ensured safety. The vehicle along with 20 million VND and assets in the trunk were also recovered by functional forces and handed over to people.
