Hue has 38 cases of streptococcus purple, 2 deaths

HUE - Hue City recorded 38 cases of pig connections, the functional sector recommends that people use meat of clear origin, cooked, and boiled.

On July 17, at the 10th Session of the 8th Hue City People's Council, many delegates expressed concern about the increase in cases of streptococcus congestion in humans.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Kiem Hao - Director of the Hue City Department of Health said that since the beginning of the year, the locality has recorded 38 cases of streptococcal disease, including 2 deaths. The health sector has implemented monitoring measures, detected suspected infections early and increased propaganda to high-risk groups such as livestock farmers, slaughterhouses, pork sellers and housewives.

People are advised not to eat pork offal, pork intestines or undercooked meat; do not slaughter, consume sick or dying pigs. It is necessary to use pork of clear origin, past veterinary inspection, wear gloves, masks and wash hands when preparing food.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duc - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hue City affirmed that the epidemic in the pigs in the locality is currently well controlled, and small-scale outbreaks have been completely isolated and treated. Through inspection, samples were taken in the area with the case, no pigs carrying pathogens were detected.

"The pigs in the area are currently safe. People can feel secure in using quarantined pork" - Mr. Duc emphasized.
