On August 23, at Linh Nam General Clinic (Vinh Hung Ward, Hanoi), nearly 500 people with revolutionary contributions and the elderly were examined, consulted on health and given free medicine.
The atmosphere of the examination was warm and thoughtful. The elderly were enthusiastically examined by a team of doctors and nurses, and were assisted by the ward force, pushed into wheelchairs, and arranged seats.
Preparation work from facilities, medical equipment, examination tables, medicine distribution tables to gifts are all arranged scientifically and conveniently. For those who cannot go directly, the ward sends medicine and gifts to their homes, each worth from 300,000 to 500,000 VND.

On the morning of August 23, Ms. Tran Thi Hong Lien (80 years old, Vinh Hung ward) and her husband, Mr. Nguyen Anh Ninh (88 years old) went to Linh Nam General Clinic for medical examination and health consultation.
Ms. Lien said that the couple is old so they often have to go to the Institute of Air Defense - Air Force Medicine for examination and medicine, nearly 8km from home. Weak age but having to travel long distances is a big obstacle for grandparents.
"Now that we have a medical facility near our home, it only takes 5-7 minutes by taxi for a 1km trip, we are very happy and excited. Seeing the kindness and thoughtfulness of doctors, nurses and ward staff, my husband and I feel like we have more confidence and motivation to live healthy and happily with our children and grandchildren" - Ms. Lien shared.

Also present at the clinic this morning, Mr. Hoang Thanh Phu (75 years old, Vinh Hung ward) said that the ward's clinic is very spacious and clean.
In particular, the ward leaders and doctors have served the people with dedication, respect, and thoughtfulness, making him very excited.
"At this age, each time I receive such health care, I clearly feel the attention of the Party and the government for meritorious people and the elderly. This is not only a medicine, but also a spiritual medicine to help us live happily and healthily" - Mr. Phu said.

Mr. Pham Hai Binh - Chairman of Vinh Hung Ward People's Committee said that after the merger, the ward has more than 20,000 households with 80,000 people.
Less than two months since the operation of the two-level local government model, Vinh Hung ward has organized many activities to care for people's lives, especially paying attention to policy families, war invalids, sick soldiers, meritorious people and their relatives.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day, this health examination, consultation, and medicine distribution program is a practical gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, war invalids, and those who have contributed to the networks...
"Linh Nam General Clinic was invested in building a spacious, modern facility and this is the first time it has been put into operation. In the coming time, the ward hopes to continue to coordinate with the Hanoi Young Physicians Association to maintain this meaningful activity, maximize existing facilities and equipment, thereby better health care for the people" - Mr. Binh said.
