On March 24, in Dak Lak province, representatives of the Department of Disease Prevention, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, the Central Highlands Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (Ministry of Health) ... inspected and supervised the work of disease prevention and vaccination against measles.

On the same morning, the units inspected and supervised the location of the measles vaccination event in Buon Ma Thuot city and Buon Don district.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Dak Lak province informed that the unit has provided districts, towns and cities in the area with a total of 25,000 doses of Measles - Rubella vaccine to vaccinate children. Of which, children aged 1 to 5 years are given 9,750 doses of vaccine. Children aged 6 to 10 are given 15,250 doses of vaccine.

Since the beginning of the year, the whole Dak Lak province has recorded a total of 206 cases of measles. The localities with the most infections are Buon Don district, Krong Pac and Buon Ma Thuot city.
The inspection team acknowledged and highly appreciated the work of measles prevention and control in Dak Lak province.
Experts also note that the Dak Lak provincial health sector needs to soon allocate vaccine sources to remote areas, where there is a risk of an outbreak.
In addition, authorities need to take measures to preserve vaccines and promptly vaccinate children aged 1 to 10.
On the same afternoon, the inspection team will have a working session with the Department of Health on epidemic prevention and control and the implementation of a measles vaccination campaign.
